Day 7: Thousand years old community
February 13, 2010 | Filed Under Siri Kembara
On day seventh in China really taught me a lot. As most of the day today, we spent half of the day for Solat Jumaat and mingles with local Chinese Muslim.
From what i saw, although only 1-2% of China total population are Muslim but they have a very strong bond between them.
They have their own supermarket; not just a market but a very big one!. They have their a block of ‘rumah kedai’, restaurant, hotel and also an elementary school (Hui Min Elementary School), and also their own food processing factory. It just 1-2% only!
Niujie Mosque was built on 1014M. so, Islam must be arrived earlier than that.
A thousand years old community really made them very strong, i guess.
